  • It's Snowing!

90% of the kids eat it.  Only 10% of the adults do.  What is this?  Snow!  Sam asked me this morning during the ride to his school.

It is beautiful here in Vancouver.  I wish I could share with my family and friends.  At times like this I regret not learning how to use the digital camera.  This is first snow day of the year.  It brought me back memories of my childhood in Wallkill, N.Y.  It snowed a lot there in winter.  Much more than here.  I remember making snowman, eating icicles, and having snow fights with my sisters and my brother.  We hoped that school will be cancelled in days like this just like Esther was hoping today.  It wasn't cancelled but she enjoyed the snow fight during the recess at school.  I wish that I could go back in time to 1977, that snowy day in my bedroom lying in bed next to Linda's, worrying about going to school or not and nothing else.

  • Well, It's been awhile since I posted .  The summer has gone by so fast and so much happened.  My kids have grown so much during the past few months especially Esther.  She is becoming a beutiful young lady.  I knew she would be a teen-ager soon or later but I am still not ready for it.  She is becoming more and more beautiful inside and out.  I'm amazed at her reserved and considerate personality.  Sam is a handsome young man with such sweet personality.  I love spending time with them.  I try not to worry so much as I used to but rather enjoy their company as much as I can.

I got to see my brother, my sisters, my parents, and my nieces and nephews during the summer which is always nice.  There were weddings, church events, and guests to entertain.  I think I need a vacation to rest from all the volunteering and entertaining I had to do during the summer. Now the school's starting next week, and we're back to our usual busy schedule.

Hun's been fishing almost everyday to catch as much Salmon as he can before the season is over.  He's also keeping up with his exercise program and brown rice diet.  Even though he is eight and eleven months older than me, he has 100 times the energy for fun and active life.  I, on the other hand, rather sit at home with friends and family and talk.  It's amazing how God put such opposite people together as a couple.  Our friends find us so odd and amazing also.

Well, I better stop now and post some pictures.

  • My latest discovery of a very useful sauce for all your cooking needs:

"Thai Sweet Chili Sauce" - There are many brands but mostly taste same.  Sweet tangy and spicy at the same time.  You can use it for barbeque, on fried, steamed fish, on salads, on rice etc.  Try it.
